Why We Must Respect Teachers - Alina Nira Leman

Teachers play an important role in the lives of students. Apart from our parents, they shape our lives by sharing important knowledge with us and helping to inculcate good morals in us. Teachers can really impact the lives of many children, especially when they leave a good impression on them. Many people are able to keep in memory teachers who in one way or the other affected their lives positively or negatively.

Secondly, teachers uphold students with as much care and sincerity as they would do for their own children. Teachers are perceived as the greatest parents since students spend much of their time with their subjects rather than with their parents. In this case, it is evident that parents are merely responsible for the birth of their children while teachers take part in shaping their characters in a bid to make their futures bright, an aspect the denotes the need to respect our teachers.

Last month, a parent accused a teacher of hitting their daughter. This tragedy should not happen. I believe the teacher did not want to hit their daughter. She wanted the student to become good academically and to give her some advice. Sometimes we will get punished for the mistakes we make against the school rule. We should remember that a teacher, like a parent, punishes us not out of hatred, but of love. When students are disciplined, credit goes to the teachers as well as the school.

Therefore, we should not see teachers as enemies for many great and famous people who have made it in life today give credit to their teachers. We may see a few of them as bad, but respect our teachers and make them our friends so that they can groom us into responsible adults in the future.

Lastly, there are so many reasons why we should respect our teachers. It really is not a hard thing to show our teachers the respect they deserve. If we do have a problem or disagree with any of our teachers, just talk to him or her after class. Being respectful can make life easier for us and our teachers.

Alina Nira Leman is hardworking, friendly and helpful. She is a dancer in this school. She listens to music while doing homework. Once a month, she eats at Mc D’ and drinks bubble tea. She is also the master of ceremonies at this school and she always respects her opponents too.

For the upcoming school holiday, I have decided to take on a part time-job while waiting for my SPM result. I choose to be a baker and I want to work at Taka's bakery shop that is not far from my neighborhood. Very few people want to be bakers and have a part time-job there because they love eating, not baking. Another reason why I choose this job is I love baking. Since the job is not a struggle, I can learn more about baking during my shifts which are 9 to 10 hours each. For me, baking truly keeps me fulfilled, free, and energized.
