As A Twin - Esther Amberly Anak Philip

Hi, I am Jane. You must be thinking that Loraine and I get along pretty well because we are twins. We do get along well, although we do not interact that much. Loraine has quite an outgoing and bubbly personality. Whereas, I am quiet and reserved, although Loraine often describes me as a dry, blunt, and stoic. I do not understand what she means by that but I do not mind about it that much.

We do not often fight since I find it quite stupid to fight over small matters. Loraine likes to play volleyball. She would teach me how to serve and things like that, though I do not seem to get the hang of it. I mean, I am not really athletic; I am more of an academic. I am in the top five in class and the whole form. I was actually aiming for maybe the top three spots but I guess it is fine since it is only the beginning of the year. There is still hope because there is one more exam which is the year-end exam.

Loraine is average in academics; she is in the top thirty. I guess that is good considering she has other priorities. We are in the same class because of my grades and because Loraine’s amazing volleyball skills. She even carried the team to nationals twice! You could say I was impressed. She is also a foodie. She would ask me to treat her during recess and after practice. It is quite annoying to say the least, but I learnt to deal with it.

To be honest, I am very grateful to have a sister like her; if it were not for her, my life would be dull.

Esther Amberly Anak Philip is her name. She is the second child in her family. She enjoys skateboarding, watching anime, and also listening to music. These things make her happy and would always calm her down whenever she feels angry.

For the upcoming school holiday, I have decided to take on a part time-job while waiting for my SPM result. I choose to be a baker and I want to work at Taka's bakery shop that is not far from my neighborhood. Very few people want to be bakers and have a part time-job there because they love eating, not baking. Another reason why I choose this job is I love baking. Since the job is not a struggle, I can learn more about baking during my shifts which are 9 to 10 hours each. For me, baking truly keeps me fulfilled, free, and energized. As the bakery is near my home, getting there will not take an hour or have traffic congestion problems.
